Why Grow Peppermint?
Peppermint, first cultivated in England around 1750, as an experimental hybrid between watermint and spearmint. Now, you can find this plant nearly anywhere in the world. Growing peppermint isn’t too hard, though the plant will need lots of water (as it's often found by streams or rivers). It doesn’t tolerate dry conditions well, and while partial sun is recommended, planting it in full sun could help it increase the potency of its effects.

Addition To Tea
Instead of plain tea that you might not want to drink, add a few drops of peppermint oil or a small stick of peppermint to your cup. It's better to add peppermint to warm tea because it diffuses easier than if you were to add it to iced tea. Lemon and rosemary are good combinations to consider with peppermint for your beverage.
According to doTERRA, peppermint can be inhaled as a great non-stimulant, invigorating pick me-up. When you smell peppermint, it's invigorating and often wakes up the mind. Peppermint helps you stay awake whether you smell the scent in the air, blend it with your shampoo in the morning so that your mind is alert, or if you smell the fragrance while you're trying to stay awake to study or work. Smelling the fragrance helps you stay awake instead of sleeping.
Add a few drops of peppermint oil in a diffuser that is placed on an end table in your home for a wonderful aroma throughout your house. Peppermint often lingers in the air longer than other fragrances and is often stronger than other scents, making it one that filters through your home better than other scents that you could use. Another option is to get wax and peppermint oil to create your own candles. Peppermint is a comforting scent and often makes a home feel cozy, refreshing, and inviting.
While ginger is an option to consider if you have an upset stomach, peppermint works as well. You can put a piece of peppermint candy in a cup of warm water to drink or put a few drops of peppermint oil on your tongue. The oils from peppermint will begin to soothe and calm your upset stomach.
There are numerous uses for peppermint, a fragrance, and flavor that is calming and energizing at the same time. A benefit of using peppermint is that you don't need a lot at one time, which means that you can make a bottle or a few sticks go a long way. It's also a product that can be easily paired with other products to create the blends that you like to smell and taste.
